Cover Supervisor (Grade 6 - SCP 6-9) (£21,968-£23,194 pro rata / £11.39-£12.02ph)
30hpw term time only + 5 staff training days
Required as soon as possible.
We are looking to appoint a cover supervisor to supervise and support pupils in learning activities during short-term or unforeseen absence of their usual teacher, across the school.
We seek to appoint a person who is enthusiastic, well-motivated and can work as part of a team. Applicants should be committed to the promotion of high expectations in teaching and learning, behaviour and be willing to support the Christian ethos of the school. The successful candidate should have the necessary skills to be able to take charge of a sole group or class of children, engaging and supporting them in their learning and managing their behaviour to ensure a constructive learning environment in line with the school’s policies. Ideally, we would be looking for someone qualified to a degree level (or equivalent) and who is looking towards teaching as a career. We will provide relevant training and experience to enable the successful candidate to successfully begin teacher training within 2 - 3 years which makes this an incredibly exciting opportunity.
We are proud that our pupils are well motivated, want to learn and relish challenge. They live out our core values of excellence, endeavour and enjoyment. Staff wellbeing is a priority; this is reflected in our approach to celebrating hard working pupils, disruption free learning and a centralised detention system. If you would like to join a friendly and supportive team and work in a stimulating learning environment where emphasis is placed on teacher development as well as that of the pupils, then we would like to hear from you.
Emmanuel CE Middle School is part of the Wimborne Academy Trust and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; this is a commitment which we expect all staff and volunteers to share. The successful candidate will be required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with safer recruitment guidelines. The Trust values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
